Well HELLO again!
Today I’ve got two things for you wonderful readers. First, I have a delicious and healthy recipe to share with you. Second, I decided it’s about time I fill you in on the exciting news I mentioned recently. 😀
So, first things first, I made some spaghetti.
I made it with quinoa noodles.
I also made some killer homemade sauce.
This recipe has the option of being vegetarian (and vegan, I believe) if you leave out the meat. I’m pretty sure quinoa spaghetti noodles are vegan, but please do correct me if I’m wrong. You don’t even need to meat for this meal to be packed full of nutrition! My post on Quinoa Stuffed Peppers contains a tad more detail of the nutrition benefits, but quinoa is a fantastic source of protein and iron, too, which is really awesome.
Without further ado, I present to you Quinoa Spaghetti with Tomato Basil Sauce!
Wendy from Cooking Quinoa asked if I’d like to write a guest post, so head on over there to get the recipe! This is actually my first guest post, so I hope you all like it. 🙂

Onto item number two. I have some news! You may or may not have noticed my declining frequency of posts since about the beginning of summer, and that is because I have started a business! I do miss creating and posting recipes here on the blog every week, but I’m very excited for this new (and scary) venture.
It’s called Bloom Baking, and here’s a little glimpse of the website (bloombaking.co)!
Making unique and creative cakes is one of my favorite things to do, but pretty much any kind of baking makes me happy, so I’ll be selling a wide variety of treats. If you live in the Fargo area, come on over to Bloom Baking, your local source of creative, quality baked goods! And if you know people in the Fargo area, feel free to send them my way for any baking needs. 🙂
Since starting a business and also working two jobs are quite time consuming, my posting recipes on Milk & Cereal will likely be less than weekly (at least for the time being), but I’d sure love for you to keep following along! I’ll do my best to provide you with new and irresistible recipes as often as possible, and I’ll post fun cake projects that Bloom Baking creates.
If you have any questions or business advice for me, fire away in the comments below! 🙂

Congratulations on the business Ali! Wow, exciting stuff!!! If I lived a little closer I’d definitely put an order in, but… well, I’m guessing you don’t ship to Australia 😦 I had no idea that quinoa noodles existed. Heading over to cooking quinoa to check it out now. Argh, congrats again on your new venture. So happy for you! xx
Thank you so much, Laura!!
I once tried shipping a birthday cake to a friend in England, and the result was… smelly. Haha. But I’ve been thinking for a while it would be cool to do a baking swap with a fellow blogger from a different country. It would require some strategic packaging and shipping, but does that interest you at all?? Just a thought! 🙂
Quinoa noodles are popping up all over the place and can be found in many varieties in nearly every grocery store here. I think they taste pretty good, too!
Thank you, as always, for the kind words an encouragement!!
I would LOVE to do a swap, I’d have to put my thinking cap on in terms of what to send but let’s do it!!! I just did a ‘care package’ swap with Mackenzie from Susie Freaking Homemaker too, in terms of our favourite local packaged goods. It was heaps of fun. We could chuck in some other stuff with a pack of our homemade goodies… what do you think? xx
I think YES! 😀 I I remember seeing the package she sent and thinking it was pretty dang awesome. This could be so fun! I love mail that isn’t spam or bills, haha, especially when it involves tasty treats!!
Send me an email via auralasu@yahoo.com.au with your mailing address and we can discuss package inclusions and all the finer details my dear! It’s ON! xx
I love quinoa noodles and your sauce looks delicious! Thanks for another healthy recipe Ali
🙂 Thanks! Anytime, Kitty!
I’ve never had quinoa noodles but now I have to try to find some! Thanks for the recommendation!
Sure thing, Pamela! I don’t think they should be too hard to find since even Walmart has them. Hope ya like ’em! 🙂
